BNV : আসার রাজত্বের 36 বছরের মাথায় ইস্রায়েলের রাজা বাশা যিহূদা আক্রমণ করেছিলেন| তিনি রামা শহরটি নির্মাণ করে শহরটিকে দুর্গে পরিণত করেছিলেন, যাতে উত্তরের রাজ্যগুলির লোকরা যিহূদার রাজা আসার কাছে না যায়|
KJV : In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, to the intent that he might let none go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.
YLT : In the thirty and sixth year of the reign of Asa, come up hath Baasha king of Israel, against Judah, and buildeth Ramah, so as not to permit any going out and coming in to Asa king of Judah.
RV : In the six and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa, Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might not suffer any to go out or come in to Asa king of Judah.

ERVEN : In Asa's 36 year as king, Baasha attacked Judah and then built up the city of Ramah to keep Asa from leaving Judah on any kind of military campaign.

BNV : তখন আসা প্রভুর মন্দির ও রাজপ্রাসাদ থেকে সোনা ও রূপো নিলেন এবং দম্মেশকে অরাম দেশের রাজা বিন্হদদের কাছে দূত মারফত্‌ তা পাঠালেন, ও বললেন,
KJV : Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king’s house, and sent to Ben-hadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
YLT : And Asa bringeth out silver and gold from the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and of the house of the king, and sendeth unto Ben-Hadad king of Aram, who is dwelling in Damascus, saying,
RV : Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king-s house, and sent to Ben-hadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
RSV : Then Asa took silver and gold from the treasures of the house of the LORD and the king's house, and sent them to Benhadad king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying,
ASV : Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of Jehovah and of the kings house, and sent to Ben-hadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying,
ESV : Then Asa took silver and gold from the treasures of the house of the LORD and the king's house and sent them to Ben-hadad king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying,
ERVEN : So Asa took gold and silver from the treasuries of the Lord's Temple and the king's palace. He gave it to his officials and sent them to King Ben-Hadad of Aram. Ben- Hadad was the son of Tabrimmon. Tabrimmon was the son of Hezion. Damascus was Ben-Hadad's capital city.

BNV : “আমার পিতা ও আপনার পিতার মধ্যে যেরকম চুক্তি হয়েছিল, চলুন আমরাও নিজেদের মধ্যে সেরকম একটা চুক্তি করি| আমি আপনার কাছে সোনা ও রূপো পাঠাচ্ছি| পরিবর্তে আপনি ইস্রাযেলরাজ বাশার সঙ্গে আপনার চুক্তি ভঙ্গ করুন যাতে তিনি আমাকে আর বিরক্ত না করেন এবং আমাকে নিজের মতো থাকতে দেন|”
KJV : [There is] a league between me and thee, as [there was] between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
YLT : `A covenant [is] between me and thee, and between my father and thy father, lo, I have sent to thee silver and gold; go, break thy covenant with Baasha king of Israel, and he doth go up from off me.`
RV : {cf15i There is} a league between me and thee, as {cf15i there was} between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
RSV : "Let there be a league between me and you, as between my father and your father; behold, I am sending to you silver and gold; go, break your league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may withdraw from me."
ASV : There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
ESV : "There is a covenant between me and you, as there was between my father and your father. Behold, I am sending to you silver and gold. Go, break your covenant with Baasha king of Israel, that he may withdraw from me."
ERVEN : Asa sent this message, "My father and your father had a peace agreement. Now I want to make a peace agreement with you. I am sending you this gift of gold and silver. Please break your treaty with King Baasha of Israel and make him leave us alone."

BNV : বিন্হদদ রাজা আসার প্রস্তাবে রাজী হয়ে ইস্রায়েলের শহরগুলো আক্রমণ করার জন্য তাঁর সেনাবাহিনীর সেনাপতিদের নির্দেশ দিলেন| এইসব সেনাপতিরা ইযোন, দান, আবেল-মযিম ও নপ্তালি শহরগুলি, যেখানে খাদ্য সঞ্চয় করে রাখা হতো আক্রমণ করলেন|
KJV : And Ben- hadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-maim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.
YLT : And Ben-Hadad hearkeneth unto king Asa, and sendeth the heads of the forces that he hath unto cities of Israel, and they smite Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-Maim, and all the stores, cities of Naphtali.
RV : And Ben-hadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-maim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.
RSV : And Benhadad hearkened to King Asa, and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel, and they conquered Ijon, Dan, Abelmaim, and all the store-cities of Naphtali.
ASV : And Ben-hadad hearkened unto king Asa, and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel; and they smote Ijon, and Dan, and Abel-maim, and all the store-cities of Naphtali.
ESV : And Ben-hadad listened to King Asa and sent the commanders of his armies against the cities of Israel, and they conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel-maim, and all the store cities of Naphtali.
ERVEN : King Ben-Hadad made that agreement with King Asa and sent his army to fight against the Israelite towns of Ijon, Dan, Abel Maim, and the storage cities in the area of Naphtali.

BNV : যখন বাশা এই আক্রমণের খবর পেলেন তিনি রামার দুর্গ বানানোর কাজ বন্ধ করে চলে যেতে বাধ্য হলেন|
KJV : And it came to pass, when Baasha heard [it,] that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease.
YLT : And it cometh to pass, at Baasha`s hearing, that he ceaseth from building Ramah, and letteth his work rest;
RV : And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building of Ramah, and let his work cease.
RSV : And when Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah, and let his work cease.
ASV : And it came to pass, when Baasha heard thereof, that he left off building Ramah, and let his work cease.
ESV : And when Baasha heard of it, he stopped building Ramah and let his work cease.
ERVEN : When Baasha heard about these attacks, he stopped building up Ramah and went back to Tirzah. He stopped all the work he was doing.

BNV : তখন আসা যিহূদার সমস্ত পুরুষদের নিয়ে বাশা রামা নগর বানানোর জন্য যে সব পাথর আর কাঠ ব্যবহার করেছিলেন, সেইগুলো নিয়ে এলেন এবং গেবা ও মিস্পা দুটো দুর্গসহ শহর তৈরী করলেন|
KJV : Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha was building; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.
YLT : and Asa the king hath taken all Judah, and they bear away the stones of Ramah, and its wood, that Baasha hath built, and he buildeth with them Geba and Mizpah.
RV : Then Asa the king took all Judah; and they carried away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha had builded; and he built therewith Geba and Mizpah.

ESV : Then King Asa took all Judah, and they carried away the stones of Ramah and its timber, with which Baasha had been building, and with them he built Geba and Mizpah.
ERVEN : Then king Asa gave an order for all the men in Judah, with no exceptions. They had to go to Ramah and carry out all the stone and wood that Baasha was using to build up the city. They carried the material to Geba in Benjamin and to Mizpah and used it to strengthen those two cities.

BNV : এসমযে ভাব্বাদী হনানি যিহূদার রাজা আসার সঙ্গে দেখা করতে এসে বললেন, “আসা তুমি সাহায্যের জন্য তোমার প্রভু ঈশ্বরের ওপর নয় অরাম রাজের ওপর নির্ভর করেছিলে| এই কারণে, সিরিযার রাজার সৈন্যদলের ওপর তুমি তোমার নিয়ন্ত্রণ হারাবে|
KJV : And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.
YLT : And at that time hath Hanani the seer come in unto Asa king of Judah, and saith unto him, `Because of thy leaning on the king of Aram, and thou hast not leaned on Jehovah thy God, therefore hath the force of the king of Aram escaped from thy hand.
RV : And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and hast not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.
RSV : At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said to him, "Because you relied on the king of Syria, and did not rely on the LORD your God, the army of the king of Syria has escaped you.
ASV : And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and hast not relied on Jehovah thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thy hand.
ESV : At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him, "Because you relied on the king of Syria, and did not rely on the LORD your God, the army of the king of Syria has escaped you.
ERVEN : At that time Hanani the seer came to King Asa of Judah and said to him, "Asa, you depended on the king of Aram to help you and not the Lord your God. You should have depended on the Lord. But, because you did not depend on the Lord for help, the king of Aram's army escaped from you.

BNV : কূশীয় ও লূবীযদের বহু রথ ও অশ্বারোহী সৈন্যসহ বিশাল সেনাবাহিনী ছিল, কিন্তু তুমি প্রভুর ওপর নির্ভর করেছিলে বলে তিনি তোমাকে ওদের পরাজিত করতে দিয়েছিলেন|
KJV : Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.
YLT : Did not the Cushim and the Lubim become a very great force for multitude, for chariot, and for horsemen? and in thy leaning on Jehovah He gave them into thy hand,
RV : Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubim a huge host, with chariots and horsemen exceeding many? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.
RSV : Were not the Ethiopians and the Libyans a huge army with exceedingly many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the LORD, he gave them into your hand.
ASV : Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubim a huge host, with chariots and horsemen exceeding many? yet, because thou didst rely on Jehovah, he delivered them into thy hand.
ESV : Were not the Ethiopians and the Libyans a huge army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the LORD, he gave them into your hand.
ERVEN : The Ethiopians and the Libyans had a very large and powerful army. They had many chariots and chariot drivers. But Asa, you depended on the Lord to help you defeat that large powerful army, and the Lord let you defeat them.

BNV : সমস্ত পৃথিবীতে খুঁজে বেড়ায প্রভুর দৃষ্টি, যে সমস্ত ব্যক্তি তাঁর প্রতি বিশ্বস্ত, তিনি তাদের মধ্য দিয়েই তাঁর ক্ষমতা প্রদর্শন করেন| আসা তুমি মূর্খের মতো কাজ করেছো অতএব এরপর থেকে তোমায় শুধুই যুদ্ধ করে যেতে হবে|”
KJV : For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of [them] whose heart [is] perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
YLT : for Jehovah -- His eyes go to and fro in all the earth, to show Himself strong [for] a people whose heart [is] perfect towards Him; thou hast been foolish concerning this, because -- henceforth there are with thee wars.`
RV : For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly; for from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
RSV : For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show his might in behalf of those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this; for from now on you will have wars."
ASV : For the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly; for from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
ESV : For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. You have done foolishly in this, for from now on you will have wars."
ERVEN : The eyes of the Lord go around looking in all the earth for people who are faithful to him so that he can make them strong. Asa, you did a foolish thing. So from now on you will have wars."

BNV : একথা শুনে, আসা হনানির ওপর রেগে গিয়ে তাঁকে কারাগারে পুরে দিলেন এবং কযেকজনের সঙ্গে আসা নিষ্ঠুর ব্যবহারও করেছিলেন|
KJV : Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for [he was] in a rage with him because of this [thing.] And Asa oppressed [some] of the people the same time.
YLT : And Asa is angry at the seer, and giveth him to the house of torture, for [he is] in a rage with him for this; and Asa oppresseth [some] of the people at that time.
RV : Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in the prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.

ERVEN : Asa was angry with Hanani because of what he said. He was so mad that he put Hanani in prison. He was also very rough and cruel to some of the people then.

KJV : And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they [are] written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

BNV : তাঁর রাজত্বের 39 বছরের মাথায় আসার পাযে মারাত্মক ধরণের রোগ হয়, কিন্তু তা সত্ত্বেও তিনি প্রভুর সাহায্য প্রার্থনা না করে শুধুমাত্র ডাক্তারদের দিয়েই চিকিত্‌সা করিযেছিলেন|
KJV : And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease [was] exceeding [great:] yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.
YLT : And Asa is diseased -- in the thirty and ninth year of his reign -- in his feet, till his disease is excessive, and also in his disease he hath not sought Jehovah, but among physicians.
RV : And in the thirty and ninth year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet; his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.

ERVEN : Asa's feet became infected in his 39 year as king. Even though the infection was very serious, Asa did not go to the Lord for help. He went to the doctors instead.

BNV : ফলস্বরূপ 41 বছর রাজত্ব করার পর অবশেষে তাঁর মৃত্যু হল|
KJV : And Asa slept with his fathers, and died in the one and fortieth year of his reign.
YLT : And Asa lieth with his fathers, and dieth in the forty and first year of his reign,

BNV : মৃত্যুর পর আসাকে তাঁর পূর্বপুরুষদের পাশে দায়ূদ নগরীতে তাঁর জন্য বানিয়ে রাখা সমাধিস্তূপে সমাহিত করা হল| লোকরা সমাধিটিকে বিভিন্ন ধরণের মশলাপাতি ও সুগন্ধী আতরে ভরিয়ে দিয়েছিল এবং তাঁর সম্মানার্থে এক বিশাল আগুন বালিয়েছিল|
KJV : And they buried him in his own sepulchres, which he had made for himself in the city of David, and laid him in the bed which was filled with sweet odours and divers kinds [of spices] prepared by the apothecaries’ art: and they made a very great burning for him.
YLT : and they bury him in [one of] his graves, that he had prepared for himself in the city of David, and they cause him to lie on a bed that [one] hath filled [with] spices, and divers kinds of mixtures, with perfumed work; and they burn for him a burning -- very great.
